I really liked the idea of asking my teen about rating their love tank. And then folowing up with what can I do to fill the tank even moreso.

It really is a great idea, Cathy! My wife and I actually created a love tank gauge early in our marriage and posted it on the fridge. It might work well for teens who want to let you know they are doing without telling you using words.
